Earybirdというニックネームは単純に私が朝型ニンゲンということで決めました。

Pics-Profile logo国内の料理教室に10年程通ううちに国内のレッスンだけでは物足りず、語学のブラッシュアップのために訪れる海外の旅行先にクッキングスクールを見つけるとJump-inするのが楽しみのひとつになっている。

海外初レッスンはバンコク。タイ料理のレッスンでは日本にない食材を五感で楽しむ。帰国時に次はパリに行きフランス料理のレッスンをフランス語で受けることを決意した。
知識レベル「0」からフランス語の会話スクールに3年通い、念願のパリ・アランデュカスの料理教室でフランス語で学ぶ1日講座フルコースレッスンに参加。フランス料理の繊細かつ大胆な調理方法に深く感銘を受ける。次はバスク地方の料理教室に参加すべくスペイン語の教室を探しているところ。

Welcome to my blog!

This space is all about sharing my experiences, a key part of my journey, which I've been gathering and absorbing over the years. I'd be thrilled if it helps or inspires someone out there. I chose the nickname 'Earlybird' because I'm a morning person.

Pics-Profile logoFor about 10 years, my journey has included attending cooking classes in my country. During my travels abroad for language improvement, I always make it a point to join cooking schools whenever I find them. It's one of the highlights of my international trips.

My first overseas lesson was in Bangkok, where I delighted in the unique ingredients of Thai cuisine, using all my senses. After that experience, I decided to head to Paris for French cooking lessons, conducted in French, of course. Starting from scratch, I attended a French language conversation school for three years. My dream came true when I joined a full-course, one-day class at Alain Ducasse's cooking school in Paris, taught entirely in French. I was deeply impressed by the delicate yet bold techniques of French cuisine. Now, as my journey continues, I'm on the hunt for a Spanish language class as I plan to join a cooking class in the Basque region next.

Recently, I have been really into making homemade yeast bread. It takes about 2-3 weeks from starting the yeast to eating the bread, but I've been enjoying it daily. I've discovered that yeast can be cultivated not only from raisins but also from fruits, coffee beans, tea, and spices, and I'm having fun baking bread with these different yeasts.

Cooking is like my life's work, something I'm always passionate about. It's not just a hobby, it's a never-ending adventure where I learn and express myself through food. Cooking is a language everyone understands!
