December is finally here, and it’s really starting to feel like winter. It’s so cold!
That said, Tokyo seems a bit warmer this winter compared to past years, don’t you think?
On chilly days like these, there’s nothing better than hot pot!
From the cook’s perspective, hot pot is so easy to prepare—just chop up the ingredients, toss them in a flavorful broth, and let it simmer. Honestly, I could eat hot pot every single day in winter.
The grocery store has so many different kinds of soup bases for hot pot, and I always end up spending way too long deciding which one to try.
Tonight, I made a sesame and soy milk hot pot with oysters, napa cabbage, chicken meatballs, and maitake mushrooms.
I’m already thinking… maybe I’ll make hot pot again tomorrow!
